Jean le Tard succeeded Sir Sybald the Far-Traveller, who left Normandy for the distant north at the end of Campaign Season 3.

The Normans conquered East Wessex in Campaign Season 4, and purchased the province of Danish Mercia from the Anglo-Saxons at the end of that same Season.

The Normans ended the campaign with 1 CVP. Jean had become an Aetheling and was a contendor for King of all the Lands, finishing in eighth place overall.
